Dr. J. Tim Zipple

Doctor J. Tim Zipple, PT, DScPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, CMW is an associate professor in the Graduate Program in Physical Therapy at Central Michigan University with 29 years of experience in patient care. He has taught patient care skills, manual therapy and orthopedic courses over the last 20 years at three different universities.
He has certificates in orthopedics, manual therapy, and complementary medicine and wellness. He earned his undergraduate and doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy from Oakland University, MI, and his master’s degree in Biomechanics from Michigan State University. He completed a 2-year residency program in manual therapy in 1992 and is a current fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). He published an article in JOSPT related to hip joint translations with passive joint mobilization in 2013 and wants to investigate other joints for normative values for glides to help identify pathology/laxity.
