Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography (MSKUS) is a dynamic, non-invasive exam that allows high-resolution, real-time evaluation of musculoskeletal disorders.
It is an excellent complement to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and a reliable modality for diagnosing musculoskeletal disorders related to traumatic injury, degeneration and for patients that cannot undergo MRI.
Non-invasive and dynamic imaging is beneficial when range of motion is lost due to acute or chronic injury to major tendons, as well as in pain management and urgent care.
GLMSKUS®, Inc. is a corporation specializing in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography (MSKUS) Imaging and training, providing workshops at participants location or Houston Training Center. This is a unique modality that can enhance your patient care needs.
It is technically demanding and is completely operator dependent. Extensive experience and proper training are essential to performing consistent, high-quality examinations.
We are increasing the availability of educational and hands-on training services through a highly skilled and experienced registered ultrasonographer. We are working to answer the demand and need for knowledge with practicing hands-on scanning workshops, offering a unique training program by an experienced MSK Ultrasonographer.
Focused MSKUS hands-on scanning applications are important to the development of proficient MSKUS diagnosis. Our highly organized and systematic hands-on scanning format of instruction, in conjunction with protocol scanning images, ensures the participants develop both knowledge and skill for use in their daily MSKUS scanning practice.
A full day is spent on three joints, not simply a few hours, to allow time for practice and to train for a range of situations that may be encountered. The participants leave the training with an excellent foundation in the attributes and techniques of MSKUS.
Training sessions are designed to expand individual knowledge of MSKUS, demonstrating how to generate protocol images and articulate findings with the use of high frequency ultrasound systems. Basic needle guidance techniques will be explained for each joint with hands-on practice using props.
